Call for book submissions: maritime guides, manuals, and textbooks

We are currently seeking authoritative guides, manuals, and textbooks covering all maritime-related subject areas and sectors. If you are an expert, educator, or practitioner in the maritime industry with valuable knowledge to share, we invite you to submit your work for consideration.


We welcome submissions on topics including, but not limited to:

  • Maritime engineering and technology

  • Navigation and seamanship

  • Marine environmental science and sustainability

  • Maritime law and policy

  • Port operations and logistics

  • Safety, security, and risk management at sea

  • Commercial shipping and trade

  • Fisheries, aquaculture, and marine resource management

  • Maritime history and heritage

  • Training manuals for seafarers and maritime professionals

Submission guidelines

Thank you for your interest in submitting your work to us. To ensure a smooth review process, please follow these guidelines when preparing your submission:

1. Eligibility

  • We welcome submissions from authors with expertise or significant experience in maritime fields.

  • Works may be single- or multi-authored.

2. Types of Works Accepted

  • Authoritative guides

  • Instructional manuals

  • Academic or professional textbooks

  • Training materials for maritime sectors

3. Content Requirements

  • All submissions must be original and not previously published elsewhere.

  • Content should be accurate, up-to-date, and clearly referenced where appropriate.

  • Text should be written in clear, professional English.

4. Submission Materials
Please include the following:

  • Cover Letter: Briefly introduce yourself, your background, and the relevance of your work.

  • Manuscript or Proposal: You may submit either a completed manuscript or a detailed proposal/outline (including sample chapters).

  • Author Biography: A short biography highlighting your experience and credentials in the maritime sector.

  • Book Synopsis: A summary (200–500 words) outlining the purpose, scope, and target audience of your book.

  • Table of Contents: An outline of chapters or sections.

5. Formatting

  • Manuscripts should be submitted in Word or PDF format.

  • Use standard fonts and double-spacing for readability.

  • Number all pages.

6. Submission Process

  • Send the required materials to [submission email or link].

  • In the email subject line, please include: “Book Submission [Your Book Title]”.

  • You will receive a confirmation email upon receipt.

7. Review Process

  • Submissions will be reviewed by our editorial team and subject matter experts.

  • We aim to respond within 4–8 weeks of receipt.

  • Additional materials or revisions may be requested during the review process.
